Function & Purpose:
Floor box pop-up units are concealed electrical and data outlets installed in floors, designed to provide power sockets, data ports, USB charging, HDMI, or AV connections. The units remain flush with the floor when not in use and can be manually or mechanically raised when needed.

Construction & Materials:

·        Housing / Box: Galvanized steel, stainless steel, or high-strength ABS for durability and fire resistance.

·        Cover / Lid: Flush, anti-slip design to prevent tripping hazards; may include brushed metal, powder-coated, or decorative finishes.

·        Internal Modules: Copper busbars for power, shielded cabling for data/AV, modular compartments for flexibility.

·        Actuation Mechanism: Manual push-pull, spring-assisted, or motorized depending on model.

Electrical & Data Specifications:

• Voltage: 220–240V AC (50–60 Hz) standard; motorized units may use low-voltage DC for actuation.
• Current: Typically 10–16A per socket, depending on configuration.
• Power and data modules are modular, allowing customization for office, conference, or residential setups

• Install on level, stable surfaces with sufficient space for module retraction.
• Ensure proper electrical grounding for all power modules.
• Select the appropriate configuration (power, data, AV) based on intended usage.
• Perform periodic inspection of mechanical and electrical components to ensure smooth operation.
• Use anti-slip covers in high-traffic areas to enhance safety.
• For motorized units, ensure sufficient clearance beneath the floor for smooth operation.

Restrictions

·        Do not exceed rated voltage or current power outlets.

·        Avoid installation in wet or damp areas unless the unit is IP-rated for such conditions.

·        Do not place heavy objects on the cover while retracted; this can damage the mechanism.

·        Avoid manual forcing of motorized units; operate using the provided mechanism.

·        Floor boxes are not suitable for continuous heavy-duty loads; intended for intermittent use only.

·        Do not install near moving machinery or high foot traffic zones without adequate protection.
